The adrenaline from plotting and writing a story is addicting. I devoured stories as a kid, I study stories as an adult, and now I write stories of my own. As an only child, my characters are my brothers and sisters, and I want to give a better representation of mental health in storytelling. Something I think that is severely lacking at the moment but is getting better. If you decide to read my stories, hopefully, it will be a nice escape from the craziness that is life. Storytelling has been that escape for me, and I hope it can be for you too.

The Ten-Cent Hero

Almost anything can be found at a garage sale. One just needs to know where to look. For seven-year-old Benny, this is finding a friend to keep him company at night when the monsters come out from under his bed. What he doesn’t know, though, is the monsters may just be more than what lies in the nighttime shadows.

Dread Strong

The Dexter Dreadnoughts haven’t won a football game in three years. For Jimmy and his fellow high school seniors, this season is their last chance to get a win for themselves and for their school. While the stakes are high, Jimmy’s internal struggles off the field could keep him from gridiron success. Screenplay loosely based on my senior high school football season. Tales From Accra

In a weekly blog, I chronicled my experiences, feelings, and challenges I encountered while immersing myself in Ghanaian culture. It was truly the adventure of a lifetime.
